+ HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO ORDER?

In most cases, we can deliver the same-day if your order is received before noon. However a 24-hour advance notice is appreciated.

+ HOW LONG IS THE RENTAL PERIOD?

Generally, the rental period is 7 days. However, we are more than happy to accommodate a longer rental period—give us a call today and one of our team members will work with you.

+ WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF A DUMPSTER/ROLLOFF?

Our price includes a one-time delivery and pick-up for the chosen dumpster size, including standard disposal, fuel and taxes. Weight limits may be placed on the dumpsters, and there are always weight limits on our rolloffs. Anything over the agreed weight will incur overweight costs.

+ WILL MY CONTAINER BE PICKED UP AUTOMATICALLY?

No. Please call us when you are finished with the dumpster to schedule the pick up. When the call is placed, MGM Dumpsters may take anywhere from 5 minutes to 72 business hours to pick up the dumpster. If you need to extend the rental term, please call our office 586-725-5200 and inform us of the extended time needed. You may be subject to additional charges for the additional days needed.

+ WHAT IF I GO OVER THE WEIGHT OR LOAD HEIGHT LIMIT?

All dumpsters must be filled NO higher than the top of the dumpster. Please include no more than "water level" with the top of all trailers, roll offs and front load cans. To ensure our safety when hauling away the dumpster, this must be followed. There will be an additional charge for exceeding the weight load limit and/or over-height limit.

+ CAN I MOVE THE DUMPSTER?

No. Once placed where you have specified, the dumpster must remain in place for your safety. You may NOT move the container, for any reason. We ask for the placement location prior to delivery to best fit your needs.

+ DO I NEED TO BE PRESENT WHEN MY DUMPSTER IS DROPPED OFF OR PICKED UP?

No, unless if paying by cash. Otherwise everything can be scheduled over the phone. Specific placement instructions should be provided when ordering or any special instructions.

+ WHAT ARE THE WEIGHT LIMITS?

  • 20 yard Roll Off: 3 Ton Weight Limit

  • 30 yard Roll Off: 5 Ton Weight Limit

  • 40 yard Roll Off: 7 Ton Weight Limit

Unless otherwise agreed on with management, prior to delivery.

+ WHAT DO I DO WITH HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS?

You cannot put any hazardous waste into the dumpsters. For disposal options, contact your county's hazardous waste department.

+ WHAT CAN’T BE PLACED IN DUMPSTERS?

  • Refrigerators and air conditioners (unless they have been properly tagged stating that Freon has been removed, otherwise subject to additional charges)
  • Vehicle tires and batteries must be placed separately in dumpster and counted (subject to additional charges)
  • Mattresses must be placed separately in dumpster and counted (subject to additional charges)
  • Paint must be dried out and placed separately in dumpster
  • Hazardous materials, chemicals and asbestos must be prearranged for pick up with management with specific charges agreed to in writing prior to for each special pickup
  • There are stipulations on dirt, cement, brick and block: We will accept dirt, cement, or stone products but prior arrangements must be made with management to accept these materials. Each item MUST NOT be mixed with any other items. Subject to dryrun fee or over-weight fees if so.

Management can answer any further questions which you may have regarding this modification. You cannot put any hazardous waste into the dumpsters. For disposal options, contact your county's hazardous waste department.

+ WHAT IS ALLOWED IN THE DUMPSTERS?

  • Household trash or cleanout
  • General construction debris
  • MSW, food trash
  • Wood decking
  • Kitchen or bathroom remodel (tile, sink, toilet, bathtub)
  • Electronics
  • Windows, siding, roofing / shingles

+ ARE ROLL OFF DUMPSTERS SAFE FOR MY DRIVEWAY?

There is a risk to your driveway if you use a roll off dumpster with metal wheels. To prevent potential damage, MGM Dumpsters carries a full line of rubber wheeled dumpsters that are driveway friendly. Check out our trailer service for a driveway friendly option.

+ WILL THE TRUCK BE ABLE TO GET UP MY DRIVEWAY?

Please inform the staff if there are any low hanging trees, power lines, or things that may hinder the placement of the container. We have different sizes trucks that MGM Dumpsters can accommodate smaller locations and more difficult placements with advance notice. Subject to dryrun fee if we arrive on site and are unable to deliver the dumpster.

+ HOW MUCH WEIGHT CAN I PUT IN THE DUMPSTER?

This depends on the size of the dumpster that you order. During the ordering process, you will be given specific weight restrictions for your particular dumpster. There will be an additional charge for exceeding the weight load limit and/or over-height limit.

+ HOW BIG WILL THE DUMPSTER BE?

The dumpster's size is measured in cubic yards. 1 cubic yard is equivalent of an area 1 yard wide by 1 yard long by 1 yard high. To get a better idea of the actual size of each dumpster.
